the real thing

i was fortunate to see an authentic KauaŹ»ian hula dance. the music was wonderful the dancing was poetic. i was lost in its authenticity…until i saw that she was wearing a casio.

oh, and she was blonde.

playing in the sand

i met this girl on the beach today. we started talking. she asked me if i liked kids. thinking that this was a make or break question, i answered,

yeah, i like little kids.

next thing i know, i have to register for this special list and i cant go to playgrounds anymore.

my cerial is talking to me: its saying oooooo

im finding that everything in hawaii is more expensive: the gas, the restaurants, the entertainment.

well… not everything.

i was at the local market shopping for supplies. again, most items were marked up to account for the cost of getting things there and to profit from the fact that if you need it, youre gunna buy it. well, i noticed the Alpha Bits cerial was significantly cheaper than not only the other cereals on the island but even cheaper than back home. i asked a clerk at the store and they informed me that it wasnt a mistake. i decided to buy a couple of extra boxes to carry me over for the mornings.

it was during breakfast the next morning that i realized why id saved so much money… there were only 12 letters!!

better than yesterday, not as good at tomorrow
