yanni recently had charges of battery dropped in a FL court. the drama unfolded as yanni took the stand in his own defense. when questioned by the prosecution he didnt say a word. mysteriously, the closed courtroom rustled with a chilling wind. yanni’s hair blew as he sat on the stand. suddenly, as though no one had noticed it up on the stand, he broke into some weepy melodic chorus on his keyboard. the prosecutors knew they had no case as soon as they saw the judge reach for his handkerchief to bat away a tear. the percussion of the judges gavel struck down yannis music as everyone waited to hear what the judge had to say. case dismissed.
all in all, it was an open & closed case. although, there was an awkward moment after the ruling where yanni jumped off the stand, took his keyboard and began swinging it wildly into the ground over and over again. from outside the courtroom it was rumored that one could hear yanni yelling,
