i’ve said it before and ill say it again. askismet loves their stats so much that they dont correctly count the ‘missed spam’. i get several pieces of missed spam a month and narry a one of them gets into my askismet stats page. no wonder their catch rate looks so good; any thing would if you turned a blind eye to accurate statistical data.
i guess thats one way to inflate your accuracy rates. i mark the few comments that do make it through akismet as spam, but the akismet stats fail to recognize this as missed spam.
i would welcome a response from the akismet team. i promise to not mark it as spam…
