i saw the most beautiful girl while i was on vacation in new york. i walked up to her to say hi. as i drew near i heard her speaking french to her friends. the look on my face changed dramatically after i heard this foreign tongue. she doesnt speak english i thought,
shes perfect!
girls are like snowflakes: each one is different and unique, and some have more points than others.
i was at a coffee shop this weekend working on a database project. as fun as database projects are i couldnt help but occasionally glance around to see what else was happening in my local beanery. there were some women talking on the couch, there were a bunch of kids who looked like they couldnt wait to spill their $5 iced beverages, there were a couple of girls just back from the beach who looked like they should have toweled off a bit more before taking their seats. then there was the gentlemen sitting next to me. he was going through several newspapers and crossing things out with a black ball point pen. it caught my attention so i kinda watched in a for a few moments. i noticed that the newspapers he was going through were upside down. i wondered how he knew what to cross out while it was upside down. i got back to my database & he kept at his editing/auditing of the paper.
hours later when i was leaving i thought to myself: i wonder if hes crossing out things that he doesnt think are true. if so, the first think i would cross out if i were in his shoes would be the line in the paper that says:
spending hours at a time crossing out articles in the paper doesnt make them true.
of course, ive never seen that printed in any newspaper. as a mater of fact, maybe thats the exact same line that the guys been hunting for. good luck dude, what youre doing isnt a total waste of time.
