i went and saw mi3 on friday night. i went for the biggest screen in town hoping to get the full effect of the film. well, i got the full effect all right. full of mediocrity. as far at MI movies go, the plot twist that we have all come to expect in the series was disappointing and almost not present. as far as action goes you can get more action for free weekly on 24.
keri russell was looking great… until an exothermic uncle bens in her brain made her go strabismic. michelle monaghan is still santas favorite little helper (kiss kiss bang bang). philip seymour hoffman did well coming out of just finishing pale force. its always good to see ving. there was a lamborghini in the film. there was a collective gasp in the audience when it was blown up. i suspect it was not because they destroyed a beautiful car, but rather because we find out soon after that tom cruise wasnt inside.
i asked the box office on my way out if i could get my money back. she explained that, while i couldnt get my money back, each of my ticket stubs were good for $10 off any auditing i would like to have done.
i watched Hide and Seek tonight. i was left with one distinct thought:
i wish i were 11 again. why? so i could throw a dodgeball at Dakota Fanning and be punished with nothing more than being benched for recess.
is that so wrong?
